This Could Be the best Time To Buy Motor Homes

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:13 am

With most purchases what determines the price is based on supply and demand, so now we are hitting autumn and many motor homes are being stored and prepared for winter, we all know that many families have decided it is time for a new machine (but will wait to next year), or have decided that the package holiday is the way to go next year. This could mean there are many more motor homes flooding the market, with fewer buyers, which could bring down the price of your new motor home.

2011 will bring new models, new designs and those wanting the newest or best so 2010 models may just find themselves on the forecourts of dealers just that little bit cheaper than a year ago. So if you are good at planning you may find it is cheaper to buy your new motor home now than in 5 months time, when the demand for motor homes picks up again, especially if a new registration is of less value that the quality of van you are buying.

Something About Motor Homes

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:12 am

Motorhome suppliers have reported a massive increase in demand for motorhomes and campervans since the last budget announcement but why is this? Are people trying to beat the VAT increase? Are they thinking of it as an investment for future holidays in lieu of the current economic situation?

Many people may well be wondering what exactly classes as a motorhome, especially as a simple Google search can throw up hundreds of different models one not the same as the other. Well the standard definition of a motorhome is anything that has living facilities and can be transported either under its own power or by being towed.

Most ‘RVs’ (Recreational Vehicles) come equipped with sleeping facilities but the majority include either a kitchen or a bathroom and if your vehicle weighs under 3.5 tonnes you will not require any sort of special permits on top of your UK driving licence.

Uses extend from the stereotypical weekends and summers camping to examples where people have turned their vehicles into a mobile office complete with a satellite TV upgrade and even a high speed internet connection. One of the biggest advantages of motorhomes is the space, regardless of if you are using them as an office or holidaying vehicle they can store masses more than most cars and take away the hassle of having to attach a trailer.

Holidaying with  motor homes also allows you to see the sights as you go rather than being 30,000 feet above everything, making this a unique, economical and environmentally friendly method of living, even if only just for a few days away.
The gulf in size of these vehicles is massive, from tiny little teardrop trailers capable of carrying one person to the huge luxury American models which come with additions you wouldn’t find in the average home.
